ADULT BEGINNING SEWING 

Our most popular class! Conquer your fear of needles while creating fun products you can use. Get a jump on learning some projects you can make for gifts. Class projects include an envelope pillow, potholders, and a bed pillowcase.

BEGINNING MACHINE QUILTING

BASKET WEAVE QUILT

Using striped or directional print fabrics, you can create an optical illusion design that appears to weave over and under the perpendicular rectangles. This quilt uses two sizes of rectangles that accentuate the woven effect. In class, we will be completing the quilt top approximately 48” x 58.” It is a fun, eye-catching quilt to make!

Skill Level: Must be an intermediate level machine quilter to participate.

POLKA BOX QUILT

This quilt leans toward a scrappy style as it is made up of many different prints. Circles, dots, orbs, they’re all just big polka dots and not as hard as they look.

BINDING MADE EASY

Really, it's not that hard when you learn the tricks from Alys! Bring a quilt ready to bind, or learn from our sample, and we'll get you doing it in no time!

TUMBLING BLOCKS QUILT

Now’s the time to learn Y seams. This definitely calls for directional fabrics! The class will be for top only, 43” x 55”, four blocks across and five blocks down. 

Skill Level: Must be an intermediate level machine quilter to participate.

This bird block does not require any paper-piecing and can be made in no time!

TWO DATES TO CHOOSE FROM

Back by popular demand! Here's a nice little pouch you can tuck in your bag, carry sewing supplies to class, hold paper clips in your cubicle; the uses are endless! Make a zillion of them for gifts and yourself. A simple technique for putting in a zipper.

 CLASS INFORMATION

All classes are on a first come, first-served basis. A waiting list will be maintained in case of cancellations.

Pre-payment is required to reserve your class. We accept all major credit cards, personal checks and cash.

The class fee is not refundable unless the place in the class can be filled off the waiting list.

15% off list on any fabric and notion purchased for the class will be extended to class attendees.

Bring your own machine or reserve one of the store's for no extra charge.

For this round of classes, we are asking for proof of full vaccination, with at least one booster, and the wearing of masks. We hope this won't be necessary in the near future as we are all eager to get back to a more normal life.
