SUMMER AND FALL CLASSES

TERRA FIRMA

This wall hanging design conveys a sense of stability and reliability due to its strong horizontal and vertical format. The addition of the small embellishment lines tends to relax its formality. The colors I chose are all found in nature and are easy to “connect” with – of course you may choose any color combination you wish. Techniques used are simple Log Cabin piecing and basic fusing.

Skill Level: Must have recent machine quilting experience as a confident beginner to participate. This class makes the top only.

Fabrics MUST be chosen, pressed and ready to cut.

Fonds-Runner-copy.jpg

FRONDS RUNNER

Great as is, fall colors, or even holiday prints. This paper-pieced traditional palm-frond block takes on a modern look with a random turn to each block. In addition, outfitting the fronds in various directional fabrics set against rather busy backgrounds, creates a contrast that visibly projects them forward. If you enjoy paper-piecing or want to learn this technique this is the class for you.

Skill Level: Must be an experienced quilter to participate.
