SEW TOGETHER BAG

A great little bag to keep all your essentials together and organized whether traveling, taking a sewing class, and much more – believe me, you will find many uses. It can be made with just one fabric or from multiple fabrics as I have done. It’s a fun bag to make and have - I know you will enjoy it!

SERENDIPITY QUILTED BAG

Guess what? Summer is here. This is a perfect bag to have on hand because of it’s size, 18” x 20” x 6”. Makes it great to carry all those towels to the beach or pool, or supplies for those camp outs, or filled full of fabric for your retreat excursion or class, etc., etc.. We will be making a simple 15” square quilt block to add a little “pizzaz” to the front of your bag, making it unique from all the other bags in the world today. I used fabric from Kaffe Fassett, but please use your preference. You will find it’s a great bag to have on hand “just in case”.

Skill Level: Must have recent machine quilting experience as a confident beginner to participate.

Fabrics MUST be chosen, pressed and ready to cut.

BASKET WEAVE

TABLE RUNNER/WALL HANGING

Using striped or directional print fabrics, you will create an optical illusion design that appears over and under the perpendicular rectangles, thus a “Basket Weave”.

On a special note: I previously taught this class to make a full-size quilt. However, in this class one of the students wanted to make a table runner instead of the quilt and instead of the multi-colors I used, she did it in black and white, (see photo). I was so inspired and with her permission have decided to have this class using black and white and a little smaller, (14” x 53”). It is fairly easy to make once you learn the “trick” for piecing together and of course you can use any colors you wish but must be striped or have a directional print as mentioned.

Thank you Priscilla Abercrombie for your inspiration and creativity!

Skill Level: Must be an intermediate level machine quilter to participate.

Fabrics MUST be chosen, pressed and ready to cut.
